Application of Artificial Intelligence in Early Childhood Education Conference What to Expect

In the digital age, AI technology is transforming every aspect of life. Education, especially early childhood education, is no exception. Recognizing the importance of educational innovation, the National College for Education (NCE), in collaboration with Digital Power Media (DPM) and with the permission of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Preschool Education Department, successfully organized a scientific workshop on "Application of Artificial Intelligence in Early Childhood Education."


The workshop, held on August 16th in Hanoi, focused on practical applications of AI in personalizing the learning process, developing tools to support teachers, and creating interactive learning environments. This event provided an opportunity for educators, experts, and researchers to share experiences, update on the latest technologies, and seek innovative solutions to improve the quality of early childhood education.

At the workshop, educators, technology experts, researchers, and school administrators shared experiences, knowledge, and innovative solutions to apply AI in early childhood teaching and learning. The workshop focused on core objectives, including:


  • Updating knowledge for lecturers, teachers, and preschool administrators about artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications in preschool, contributing to improving the quality of activities at preschool institutions;


  • Sharing experiences in applying AI in organizing activities at preschool institutions: advantages, difficulties, challenges, and the current state of AI application in preschool;


  • Introducing software, tools, and e-learning materials with AI applications in organizing activities at preschool institutions;


  • Creating opportunities for lecturers, teachers, and managers to interact and learn from each other in the process of applying AI to preschool.


With four presentations:


  1. "Overview of AI application in education: AI competency framework for preschool teachers" by Dr. Kim Manh Tuan, University of Education - Vietnam National University Hanoi.


  2. "Integrating AI and robots in preschool education: Case studies from Korea and potential applications for Vietnam" by Dr. Truong Dinh Bao and Professor Meong Hi Son (US-Korea experts).


  3. "Applying AI to create digital content in education - a new global trend" by Data Scientist Mr. David Roberts (UK expert).


  4. "Using AI to develop digital content creation capabilities for preschool teachers" by Master Nguyen Thi Phuong - Central Pedagogical College.


In parallel, the workshop presented vivid evidence of AI application in organizing educational activities at four kindergartens: Hoa Hong Experimental Kindergarten, Hoa Sen Practical Kindergarten, Hoa Thuy Tien Practical Kindergarten, and Mai Dich Kindergarten.

Through the teaching sessions, delegates learned how schools have and are using AI tools such as virtual assistants to create interactive learning activities and personalize the learning process for each child. As a result, the quality of education at schools has been significantly improved, and children have more opportunities for comprehensive development. This is an opportunity for schools to learn from each other and together build a modern, creative educational environment.
